Rebecca Wahls is a freelance director and performer in the DMV region. Recent professional directing work includes We Found the Wild Things with Who What Where Theater Collective, with which she is a co-founder and co-artistic director; Dark Times at Grimesville High (Official Extension Week Selection, Capital Fringe Festival 2016); selections for the 2017 Source Festival; and Billy Shakes and the Big Screen (AFYP). She also assistant directs at DC area theatre companies such as Forum, 1st Stage, and Constellation Theatre Company. She serves as Artistic Associate for Acting for Young People, where she teaches improv and acting to students ages 5-18. She also teaches AFYP's Acting Workshop for 18+ and Improv for Adults classes on weeknight evenings. Rebecca holds a BFA in Acting and Directing from George Mason University where she graduated as Most Outstanding in the Major and received the Students as Scholars Excellence Award for her undergraduate research work on Dido, Queen of Carthage.
